I think that would be welcome. It's probably time to come up with some init scripts and stop doing the inetd thing. I don't have much time to devote to mailutils lately, so I'll be willing to accept all the help I am offered. That said, I'll try to update the package to the latest upstream version soonish. That should bring you some interesting bugfixes.
