Package: hsqldb-server
Version: 1.8.0.10-14
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
[I'm not so good in english writing and hope, you can understand me]
I'm not able to upgrade the hsqldb-server. The problem is that the
server is not stopp by:
service hsqldb-server stop. I recived the folling errormessage:
Failed instances: [db0-url]
WARNING: hsqldb is still running!
Therefore I'm not able to upgrade to 1.8.0.10-14.
I'm using debian sid (siduction distro (http://www.siduction.org)
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I'd kill the hsqldb-server via htop, no success. I'd tried to purge it,
no success. I'd tried to reinstall hsqldb-server, no succes.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Allways the same message like above. Or if I'd kill hsqldb by htop, the
message:
Removing stale pid file
I don't know of any running hsqldb server.
invoke-rc.d: initscript hsqldb-server, action "stop" failed.
apeared.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Thank you for your work.
Greetings frank aka sidlix
