I would like to see SATA support in standard Debian kernels. How about kernel 2.6.14 ? There are many libata related changes here: http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/testing/ChangeLog-2.6.14-rc1 but I have seen nothing about "ATA pass-through commands".
