Package: spamassassin Version: 3.1.0a-1 Followup-For: Bug #335279 Hi, Duncan.
I'm also seeing the same problem reported by the original poster, but, in my case, I had to install more packages to make the daemon start. If I remember correctly, I had to install: libnet-dns-perl libmail-spf-query-perl libsys-hostname-long-perl libsocket6-perl and their dependencies. I guess that they should indeed be added to the depends field instead of just being recommended? Please let me know if you need more information.
