syslinux in unstable is broken (#699382) and this means current sid builds of debian-installer for i386 and amd64 are broken for BIOS booting. This ripples through to Debian CD images too. Don't use the current daily-sid or weekly images for installation until this bug is fixed, unless you are using UEFI for boot on amd64. Otherwise, stick to the latest expected-good release, d-i beta 4. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
