Package: aria2
Version: 1.15.1-1
Severity: wishlist

Currently, the aria2c(1) manual page reads:

--cut: aria2c(1) --
   BitTorrent Specific Options

        --bt-enable-lpd[=true|false]
Enable Local Peer Discovery. If a private flag is set
in a torrent, aria2 doesn't use this feature for that
download even if true is given. Default: false

…

        --enable-dht[=true|false]
Enable IPv4 DHT functionality. If a private flag is set
in a torrent, aria2 doesn't use DHT for that download
even if true is given. Default: true

        --enable-dht6[=true|false]
Enable IPv6 DHT functionality. If a private flag is set
in a torrent, aria2 doesn't use DHT for that download
even if true is given. Use --dht-listen-port option to
specify port number to listen on. See also
                --dht-listen-addr6 option.

        --enable-peer-exchange[=true|false]
Enable Peer Exchange extension. If a private flag is
set in a torrent, this feature is disabled for that
download even if true is given. Default: true
--cut: aria2c(1) --

Naturally, as the mission of Free Software is to empower (and
/not/ to restrict) its users, aria2c (and every other Free
Software BitTorrent implementation) should provide, and clearly
document, a way for the user to override such a “private” flag.
