The latest Zookeeper is now 3.4.5 [1] which adds Kerberos authentication of clients [2], multi-updates, an improved REST API and improved operational support [3]. Cloudera considers 3.4.4 the first stable release in the 3.4.x line and as such are including it in their CDH4.2 release [4].
