I've talked to util-linux upstream. He told me, that in order to have x-* support working in mount, we need util-linux 2.21 or newer compiled with the --enable-new-mount option. For now, the supported way to specify systemd automount, is to use the already mentioned comment=systemd.automount syntax. Updating util-linux for wheezy is of course out of the question. As an intermediate solution, we could change the systemd.mount man page to mention comment= instead of x-. Not sure if this issue is important enough that the release team grants us an unblock, though.
