Package: iptables-persistent Version: 0.5.6 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
It would be nice if all *tables could be persisted, namely arptables and ebtables, that I know of. I suspect it would be pretty easy and straightforward to integrate these as well, however, iptables may not be a good name for this package anymore. Could be firewall-persistent, with an /etc/firewall directory and so on. Makes perfect sense to me. Another question is: to depend or not to depend? I think you could just suggest having all those *tables installed, and see at runtime which are actually there. For example I want to have arptables but not ebtables.
