Hello, Came across the same problem and solution as Taisuke Yamada; the trousers init.d script should not contain the '--chuid' option. It works fine when the option is removed.
Other things I tried that did not solve the problem: - use --chuid <tss uid> - use --chuid tss and --group tss - use --chuid <tss uid> and --group <tss gid> What's the process for getting this fixed?
