Package: xfce4-places-plugin Version: 1.3.0-1+b1 Severity: important Tags: patch
xfce4-places-plugin does not use the preferred file manager but uses thunar which is hard coded. How to reproduce the bug: Install xfce4-places-plugin and add the plug-in to the xfce panel. Run exo-preferred-applications and set the file manager to Nautilus. Run "exo-open --launch FileManager" and check that it opens Nautilus. Now click on the xfce-places-plugin on your panel and click the item called "Desktop". It should start Nautilus but it starts Thunar. This bug is fixed by upstream in the 1.4 release. See bug: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8085 I have applied the upstream patch [1] to xfce4-places-plugin-1.3.0-1+b1 from debian testing and it fixes the bug.
