Thanks for the patch. However I’m afraid it would break session saving with multiple workspaces. On startup, _NET_NUMBER_OF_DESKTOPS will be 1 because this is the number in gdm; so windows being restored on other workspaces will be dismissed. Could you check whether it still works for session restoring, and if not bring that upstream? Thanks, -- .''`.
