It doesn't seem to happen if it's actually run inside d-i anyway, but it sure is ugly. I'll guess it's related to the progress stuff. The pkgdetails error is because in functions, line 861, it passes it the "PKGS REAL" parameters, which is not supported in pkgdetails.c. Perhaps it is in the perl version; the code is too horrible to comprehend. While they don't seem to keep it from working, these error messages make debugging debootstrap a PITA. -- see shy jo
