Necessary changes can be imported from Ubuntu: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/h/hplip/hplip_3.12.11-0ubuntu1.dsc HPLIP 3.12.11 is compatible with Debian 6.0.6 so it should also go to proposed-updates of Squeeze and Wheezy for better hardware support in the stable distribution.
