You're correct, sorry.  I was mislead because the man page does not
mention directory creation, and the sample bash script (which I think
was included in the package) has code to make the needed folders in
advance, so I figured that the capability was non-existent.

When tested on the "file://" scheme, it works.

Although there may still be an issue, because when I tried this using
the webdav scheme, I got error code 301 when pointing to non-existent
folders (whereas when I point to an existing folder, I get error code
302 instead).  I should probably wait until this bug is fixed:

before trying directory creation over webdav.
