This sound like dbus is not running.
Could you please upgrade to the latest version (44-5) in sid/wheezy, and
if the problem still persists check the output of
"systemctl status dbus.service dbus.socket"

[1] has further debugging hints. Booting with systemd.log_level=debug
and attaching the output of systemd-journactl from the last boot would
be helpful.
