I've evaluated some patches from upstream that fix a lot of problems related to crashes with Google Reader. For the most part, manipulating or moving feeds in Google Reader has been disabled by upstream patches to address a large number of crashes.
I believe these patches will fix your issue as I'm not able to reproduce your problem with these patches. However, these patches haven't yet arrived for liferea in Wheezy. You can grab liferea (1.8.6-1) from Wheezy and then apply the patches from these bug reports using "quilt import <filename>": http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=692525 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=692526 Then recompile liferea. If you're still able to reproduce the problem, then let me know.. If you don't have the time to do the above, wait a few weeks and I'll (hopefully) have my liferea NMU pushed into Wheezy with the above patches and you can test then.
