There are working Debian packages on the PPA of Tomasz Makarewicz. We should bring that package to Debian!

I think the version string on a Ubuntu PPA with no released on Ubuntu or Debian should be "0.8.0+20121104-0ubuntu0makson1". The version string on Debian should be like "0.8.0+20121104-1".
