Hi,

I can confirm this issue, too. Mostly any picture retrieved by mod_vcard_ldap 
is broken due some broken string replacement. This renders mod_vcard_ldap 
useless if there is a requirement on avatar images.

There has been a patch attached to EJAB-1526 since 2012-10-24 which seems to 
solve this issue. After adding the patch to ejabberd 2.1.10-3 I have working 
ldap based avatar images again.
