I think you'll find that the --no-ask-deps was irrelevant and it was the -a that made the difference. Darcs 1.0.4 will have much better performance on diffing due to the use of an algorithm that scales better, and also has changes that should eliminate the huge wait you saw when running an interactive record. Or at least make it much better. Performance reports are definitely always appreciated! -- David Roundy
