reopen 688551
thanks

sorry for going back and forth... so the changelog for 2.1 says:

Version 2.1
-----------
- New maintainer
- Dateutil now works on Python 2.6, 2.7 and 3.2 from same codebase (with six)
- #704047: Ismael Carnales' patch for a new time format
- Small bug fixes, thanks for reporters!

so -- there are bugfixes which might be relevant on top of 1.5 and now python2
is supported from 2.x base. so it would be great to get python*-dateutil
packages updated ;)
