Hello, comparing two git revisions between which a file was moved shows the whole file added (similar to git diff <sha1>..HEAD dir/file). I expect to see the diff between the version of the file before the rename and its current state (similar to git diff -M <sha1>..HEAD or git diff <sha1>:olddir/oldfile HEAD:dir/file). Seems that git won't implement that (http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au/archives/git/0510/index.html#10613 "git-diff-tree rename detection for single file"), thus requesting here. With kind regards, Baurzhan. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages emacs depends on: ii emacs23-nox [emacs23] 23.2+1-7 The GNU Emacs editor (without X su emacs recommends no packages. emacs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
