Package: plymouth Version: 0.8.5.1-6 Severity: normal Hi,
when I have plymouth configured to use a graphical splash screen such as solar on my ThinkPad X121e, plymouth does not properly switch to X after the display manager (gdm3) has started. On my other systems with a similar setups, this works fine. On the other systems, I use kdm though, so this may be a display manager issue. The X121e has an Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrate Graphics Controller [8086:0116], the (working) T520 has a video device with the same name string, but the ID [8086:0126]. I am currently reluctant to replace gdm with kdm on the X121e for testing.
