Please run the following command on your system as root: date -s "`date`"
A few weeks ago there was a leap second, which triggered a bug in a timer in the Linux kernel, the effect of which is that programs using the affected timer experience very high CPU usage. MySQL is one such program. If this is the cause of your high CPU usage you should see an immediate improvement.
