I just seen that the scan function of my Epson Stylus DX4250 do not work on current testing branch version (wheezy). Here are the results of some commands: 1) simple-scan: launch but say nothing when I try to scan something (nothing happens on the printer/scan component too); 2) xsane: says No scanner found 2) sane-find-scanner: found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x0820 [USB2.0 MFP(Hi- Speed)]) at libusb:001:004 3) scanimage -L: No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find- scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). Note that: - Note that this function has worked properly on Ubuntu (until 10.04, I did not use the next versions), on Archlinux and on Squeeze (stable version); - Those both commands acts the same with current user or root (even if I got, only once, a segmentation fault with root user); - During my tests while writing this bug report, I reach (without doing anything except checking that print function was still working) to have my scanner working and seen by "scanimage -L" command (sorry but don't have anymore the result of the command). So I rebooted the system to check if it was working again. But not... Please let me know if you need more detail or more actions from me to help analyzing the issue. Thanks in advance.
