Parson me for jumping in, but this bug is a real nightmare. Please do not report a gazillion of different issues in a single bug report. This is impossible to triage, track and follow-up.
Please, please, please, report new issues in a new bug report. Additionally, please consider reporting upstream issues directly to upstream. They use bugzilla, and having to forward every issue upstream is wasting valueable time. Third, I am not very fond of the idea of changing spec.txt to reflect aspects of Debian configuration. We have extensive documentation about Debian's magic outside of spec.txt. I'd appreciate if Debian would leave upstream's spec.txt as it is, with at most fixing issues that are already reported and confirmed in upstream's bugzilla.
