679744 tag +patch thanks OK I have reworked my earlier patch to be conditional on a "-6" switch.
Without the -6 switch uif behaves as normal. With the -6 switch * the default config file becomes /etc/uif/uif6.conf * ip6tables commands are used * icmpv6 is used instead of icmp(v4) * the nat table is skipped (as ip6tables does not like it!) Further work: The debian init script could be patched to also run uif with the -6 switch if a flag in /etc/default/uif requests it
