Note also, that I am the maintainer of kyotocabinet. I am just not a Debian developer so am using the mentorship process. Sylvestre Ledru <sylves...@debian.org> sponsored 1.2.76-1, and I initially had -2 set "sponsor needed: no", but then set it to "yes", after realizing that the -1 version of the package is not in a very good state.
