        Unfortunately, I didn't receive a copy.

(I'm unsure if Debian's netiquette says anything about Cc: to
        bugno-submit...@bugs.debian.org, but I'd appreciate a copy
        anyway.)

The issue I was reporting (quoted below) is indeed still there.

The ‘x11’ and ‘wxt’ drivers are quite distinct, and one may opt to
install one of them but not other, which is clearly impossible when
they belong to the same package.

The problem is that the gnuplot-x11 package offers both the
‘x11’ and ‘wxt’ packages, and thus has all the dependencies for
both. In some circumstances, I'd like to avoid dependencies on
GTK and Pango, which are brought by the wxWidgets-based driver.

Isn't it possible to build a single /usr/bin/gnuplot binary with
all the relevant support for all the graphical interactive
terminals supported by Debian, and then provide the necessary
lib/gnuplot/ driver binaries in three separate packages
        (gnuplot-x11, gnuplot-wxt, gnuplot-qt)?

It would also make the descriptions of the binary packages less
        confusing, cf. Christoph Bersch:

I think the current configuration can also confuse users, because
the names suggest, that only X11 and qt are supported as interactive
    terminals:

        TIA.
