Package: dpkg
Version: 1.13.11
Severity: normal
It seems most man pages have changed their section from 8 to 1
(even though I haven't found the changelog entry for that yet)
but the references were only sparsely updated and many false
ones remain.
e.g. to dpkg(8):
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/debian/dpkg-1.13/man/C$ rgrep 'dpkg \?(' .
./deb-control.5:.BR dpkg (8),
./dpkg-deb.1:.BR dpkg (8),
./dpkg-divert.8:.BR dpkg (8).
./dpkg-name.1:.BR dpkg (8),
./dpkg-query.1:.BR dpkg (8)
./dpkg-scanpackages.1:.BR dpkg (8),
./dpkg.cfg.5:.BR dpkg (1) <-- this one was updated after a user bug
./dpkg-split.1:.BR dpkg (8)
./dpkg-statoverride.8:.BR dpkg (8)
./dselect.1:operates as a front-end to \fBdpkg(8)\fP, the low-level debian
package
./dselect.1:In case of doubt, consult the \fBdpkg(8)\fP manpage and the Debian
./dselect.1:.BR dpkg (8),
./dpkg-source.1:.BR dpkg (8),
Was this change really intended?
Gruesse,
Frank Lichtenheld
