Nevertheless, I suspect the current system situation somehow strange: patrice@localhost:~$ ls -alit /run/udev/firmware-missing/ total 0 5576 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 100 juin 27 2012 . 4682 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 67 juin 27 2012 iwlwifi-6000-5.ucode -> /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.1/0000:02:00.0/firmware/0000:02:00.0 1392 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 67 juin 27 2012 iwlwifi-6000-6.ucode -> /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.1/0000:02:00.0/firmware/0000:02:00.0 5581 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 46 juin 27 2012 intel-ucode\x2f06-25-05 -> /devices/platform/microcode/firmware/microcode 1126 drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 200 juin 27 21:20 .. patrice@localhost:~$ dmesg | grep firmware [ 6.191314] iwlwifi 0000:02:00.0: loaded firmware version 9.221.4.1 build 25532 patrice@localhost:~$ dpkg -l | grep firmware ii firmware-iwlwifi 0.36 Binary firmware for Intel Wireless 3945, 4965 and 5000-series cards ii firmware-linux-free 3.1 Binary firmware for various drivers in the Linux kernel ii firmware-linux-nonfree 0.36 Binary firmware for various drivers in the Linux kernel ii ipxe-qemu 1.0.0+git-20120202.f6840ba-3 PXE boot firmware - ROM images for qemu patrice@localhost:~$ ls /lib/firmware/ 3com dabusb iwlwifi-105-6.ucode iwlwifi-5150-2.ucode matrox usbduxfast_firmware.bin advansys dsp56k iwlwifi-135-6.ucode iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode mts_cdma.fw usbdux_firmware.bin agere_ap_fw.bin dvb-fe-xc5000-1.6.114.fw iwlwifi-2000-6.ucode iwlwifi- 6000g2a-5.ucode mts_edge.fw usbduxsigma_firmware.bin agere_sta_fw.bin dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw iwlwifi-2030-6.ucode iwlwifi- 6000g2b-6.ucode mts_gsm.fw vntwusb.fw av7110 e100 iwlwifi-3945-2.ucode iwlwifi-6050-4.ucode r128 cis isci iwlwifi-4965-2.ucode iwlwifi-6050-5.ucode radeon cxgb3 iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode iwlwifi-5000-2.ucode kaweth tehuti cxgb4 iwlwifi-100-5.ucode iwlwifi-5000-5.ucode keyspan_pda tigon patrice@localhost:~$ sudo modinfo iwlwifi filename: /lib/modules/3.4-trunk- amd64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi/iwlwifi.ko alias: iwlagn license: GPL author: Copyright(c) 2003-2012 Intel Corporation <[email protected]> version: in-tree: description: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link AGN driver for Linux firmware: iwlwifi-5150-2.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-5000-5.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-6000g2b-6.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-6000g2a-5.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-6050-5.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-100-5.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-1000-5.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-135-6.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-105-6.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-2030-6.ucode firmware: iwlwifi-2000-6.ucode [...] Why udev is declaring iwlwifi-6000-5.ucode and iwlwifi-6000-6.ucode firmwares missing?
