I'm sorry Debian ninjas. I first noted the problem on Kubuntu. I don't have a working Debian system currently. I just checked http://packages.debian.org/sid/ibus and concluded that same problem could (in theory) also happen on Debian. You know, Debian is the ultimate upstream of Ubuntu.
