Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.6.0~git20120601
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/git-pbuilder

Hi,

It seems that git-pbuilder relies on $HOME/pbuilderrc file (if found)
to read preferences when run with login, create or update commands.
This is very fine since this is what I want. But it becomes really
confusing when you try to build a package because git-pbuilder will
ignore $HOME/pbuilderrc and make its own choices even though my
$HOME/pbuilderrc sets a value for BASEPATH, BUILDRESULT, etc…

When I set GIT_PBUILDER_AUTOCONF=no, things look to work as expected…
but IMHO, this step should not be necessary.

Since pbuilderrc is required to be a shell script, why not source'ing
it and check for approriate values before trying your own heuristics?

Regards,
