Hi,
I have the same problem: If installed, it also breaks python-numpy and
python-matplotlib.
Doing
  gdb --args /usr/bin/python -c "import numpy as np; A = np.ones((10,10));
B=np.dot(A,A)"
gives:

Starting program: /usr/bin/python -c import\ numpy\ as\ np\;\ A\ =\
np.ones\(\(10,10\)\)\;\ B=np.dot\(A,A\)
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
