You know what... I considered looking more into dbus to see if in fact it was written as well as it could be and so something like accountsservice wasn't any extra overhead, but a quick search and I couldn't find anything definitive without downloading the source.
And I also thought that maybe someone like you would flame me. But then I thought, well even if dbus is written well, something like accountsservice is STILL bad design. So its still worth reporting it as a bug. It should be a library, if its necessary at all. So in this case, you're the fool.
