Thank you. I can confirm this bug is fixed in powerpc testing.
Marco - I didn't realize doing an upgrade is a stupid thing to do to my system. Fair enough to a point though - this is testing and it is up to me to find out exactly what every upgrade does before accepting it. But I really can't understand how you don't think an upgrade which causes networking to stop working isn't a bug (and the irony being is I have to do the same "stupid" thing again to fix it) .
