I just wanted to add that I am also seeing this behavior and on my
system there isn't an /etc/udev/usbmount.rules file, nor any
usbmount.rules in /etc. I only have the
/lib/udev/rules.d/usbmount.rules, and my flash drives still get mounted
twice (on /media/usb0 and /media/usb1).
