Package: gnome-panel
Version: 3.4.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

An upgrade to the current version of gnome-panel made the workspace switcher
applet a single gray colour. The workspaces blend out in the panel background
(which I have set to a light grey colour). I have tried a different background
colour to see if this does give contrast, but the workspace switcher keeps it's
own light grey colour. Making the panel partly opaque does not provide contrast
either. When applications are open they appear as black squares on the grey bar
though.

The switcher applet itself is functioning, only the visible behaviour is not
good.

I would expect that some colour contrast between the workspace switchers
representation of the workspaces and the colour of the panel is present. A
still different colour should then represent the opened windows.

It could be an idea to add configurable colours to the preferences dialog? Then
the user is able to set colours himself when the system default does not give a
good result

Yours,

Tjeerd Pinkert
