JFTR: synaptic's setPackageOrphaned() sets packages only on the native architecture as orphans, thus foreign arch orphans are not displayed by synaptic if the arch suffix is stripped (but stripping makes the native arch orphans shown again). Due to the way deborphan and synaptic's deborphan integration work, this does _not_ affect the correctness of the displayed list of orphans. I think listing foreign arch orphans in synaptic is nice to have, but not more than that.
