I need some more information on this.
If I understand the original submitter correctly he did
$export LC_ALL=C; export LANG=C
$eric
and it worked correctly for him?
Does this work for you?
Is it possible for you to upgrade to testing?
I have had problems with old versions of eric and the configuration
directories
${HOME}/.eric4
${HOME}/.config/Eric4
can you please move or remove them and then try again.
Do you have some backtrace and a list of sip/qt versions on your computer.
