It seems that somehow crypto support got disabled. The 1:4.2.6+dfsg-1 buildd log showed: checking if we will use crypto... yes And in 1:4.2.6.p3+dfsg-2 it changed to: checking if we will use crypto... no 1:4.2.6.p3+dfsg-1 still had "yes" in it, and the changelog doesn't suggest that we disabled.
