Package: zope Version: 2.6.4-1.6 Severity: important
Debian Policy says: restart stop and restart the service if it's already running, otherwise start the service /etc/init.d/zope calls zopectl restart which does not stop and start zope but sends SIGHUP to the instance. The initial zope process does not get stopped and restarted this way. So the configuration in /etc/zopectl/default.conf etc. does not get reread. Please rename the restart option to reload and add a restart option which stops and then restarts zope. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (99, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages zope depends on: ii adduser 3.47 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf 1.4.30.11 Debian configuration management sy ii dpkg 1.10.26 Package maintenance system for Deb ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii python2.2 2.2.3-12 An interactive high-level object-o ii python2.2-xml 0.8.4-1 XML tools for Python (2.2.x) ii zopectl 0.3.4.2 Zope instances controlling utility -- debconf information: * zope/instance_home/move: true * shared/zope/restart: end * zope/upgrade/2.6.1-7: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
