I'm still using my same solution, and I remember a failed resume several
months ago that I tracked down to the same problem (because my patch
was not properly installed on that machine).
Also, looking at the initramfs scripts of lvm2 and uswsusp, I don't see
any relevant code to handle that config: the only script that looks at
uswsusp.conf is /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/uswsusp and the value
it extracts (stored in RES_DEV) is not passed anywhere that lvm2
could see.
