Dear Maintainer, First - I am sorry for reporting from ubuntu Iit ships mplayer2 deb from wheezy as-is, so it should be ok The mplayer2 people confirmed the bug and pointed me to the already-committed fix: http://git.mplayer2.org/mplayer2/commit/?id=0e752d586362b95288f1a94f7c2588016719d838 Bug details: using mplayer2 -vo Xv makes it very likely crash when the video changes resolution for example: mpeg-ts from dvb-t broadcast. I can provide sample, if really necessary. Xv is used by default Some other minor VOs might be also affected as a workaround, -vo gl can be used Full error messge: MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: key_events - MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM. Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash. - MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy APT prefers precise-updates APT policy: (500, 'precise-updates'), (500, 'precise-security'), (500, 'precise'), (100, 'precise-backports') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-22-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mplayer2 depends on: ii libaa1 1.4p5-39ubuntu1 ii libasound2 1.0.25-1ubuntu10 ii libass4 0.10.0-3 ii libaudio2 1.9.3-4 ii libavcodec-extra-53 4:0.8.1ubuntu1 ii libavformat53 4:0.8.1-0ubuntu1 ii libavutil-extra-51 4:0.8.1ubuntu1 ii libbluray1 1:0.2.1+git20111208.63e308d-3 ii libc6 2.15-0ubuntu6 ii libcaca0 0.99.beta17-2.1ubuntu2 ii libcdparanoia0 3.10.2+debian-10ubuntu1 ii libdca0 0.0.5-5 ii libdirectfb-1.2-9 1.2.10.0-4.3ubuntu1 ii libdvdnav4 4.2.0-1 ii libdvdread4 4.2.0-1ubuntu3 ii libenca0 1.13-4 ii libesd0 0.2.41-10build3 ii libfaad2 2.7-7 ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-3ubuntu8 ii libfreetype6 2.4.8-1ubuntu2 ii libfribidi0 0.19.2-1 ii libgcc1 1:4.6.3-1ubuntu4 ii libgif4 4.1.6-9ubuntu1 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 8.0.2-0ubuntu3 ii libjack0 [libjack-0.116] 1:0.121.0+svn4538-3ubuntu1 ii libjpeg8 8c-2ubuntu7 ii liblircclient0 0.9.0-0ubuntu1 ii libogg0 1.2.2~dfsg-1ubuntu1 ii libpng12-0 1.2.46-3ubuntu4 ii libpostproc52 4:0.8.1-0ubuntu1 ii libpulse0 1:1.1-0ubuntu14 ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.14-6.4ubuntu3 ii libsmbclient 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu1 ii libspeex1 1.2~rc1-3ubuntu2 ii libstdc++6 4.6.3-1ubuntu4 ii libswscale-extra-2 4:0.8.1ubuntu1 ii libtheora0 1.1.1+dfsg.1-3ubuntu2 ii libtinfo5 5.9-4 ii libvdpau1 0.4.1-3ubuntu1 ii libvorbis0a 1.3.2-1ubuntu3 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.99.1-0ubuntu2 ii libxext6 2:1.3.0-3build1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.1-3build1 ii libxv1 2:1.0.6-2build1 ii libxvidcore4 2:1.3.2-6 ii libxxf86dga1 2:1.1.2-1 ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.1.1-2build1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3ubuntu4 mplayer2 recommends no packages. mplayer2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
