As far as to my knowledge, some of this patches are not glibc compatible and are awaiting glibc conversion. This question would better to be addressed to Spice-Gtk development team @RH. Sure, this is another problem we need to tackle. But I fail to see why the fact that Ubuntu Precise will be released too early to get a chance to get this feature, would make it less sensible to try to get it into Debian Wheezy, that will be released a bit later.
