I have not used libsane-perl since, but scanimage instead. I just tried libsane-perl and I was appauled at the multi-register options and the lack of scan profiles. I do wonder why you have all these backends, instead of just one. What's the benefit? Wouldn't it be better to have one backend and polish that until it glistens? -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madduck@d.o> Related projects: : :' : proud Debian developer http://debiansystem.info `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck http://vcs-pkg.org `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems "academia is really just a way to help those with high volumes of nothing to say to social status." -- myself on #debian-devel, 01 Feb 2007
