Helo, I've just noticed on squeeze that I can add shared rosters via the web admin as usual (compared to ejabberd 2.0.1-6+lenny3), however when I restart ejabberd the groups seem to all be lost. I also noticed that if I add a group with a bunch of users, and then anothe group that contains users from the first group, they are deleted from the first group, a if they can only be in one group at a time. I have the same exact setup on lenny and the current solution will be to revert to lenny.
