Package: emacs-jabber
Version: 0.8.0-2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/emacs-jabber/jabber-autoloads.el
Running xemacs21 -q prints an error
Loading 50emacs-jabber...
Loading jabber-autoloads...
Error while loading 50emacs-jabber: Symbol's function definition is void:
custom-autoload
This is unslightly, though apparently harmless. I see emacs-jabber is
not for use on xemacs21, but it'd be good if 50emacs-jabber.el was clean
to xemacs startup.
One way to do it could be to look for the byte-compiled flavour directory
(concat "/usr/share/"
(symbol-name debian-emacs-flavor)
"/site-lisp/emacs-jabber")
in the removed-but-not-purged test, thus skipping the setups for
unsupported flavours as well as when --remove.
(The underlying problem of course is that generated autoloads like
jabber-autoloads.el are sometimes emacs flavour dependent. So what
emacs23 generates xemacs21 often can't use, etc.)
