The original submitter reported that there were (to him) mysterious "Forbidden" messages and we haven't heard from him since. You gave an explanation of where these Forbidden messages might come from and the relevant design flaw. I gave a suggestion for making it less mysterious by patching the upstream code to improve the Forbidden message.
