We're 9 months later and we're still at 5.21 in Debian unstable. And there's no activity on the git repo used to maintain your package: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=users/lamont/nmap.git So what's up? > It wouldn't have changed anything, other than getting me even more > bug reports telling me what I already know. It's still the right thing to do. Adding a watch file allows the project as a whole to monitor packages who are not updated and then investigate the reasons why... sometimes we'll find MIA maintainers. Sometimes it can attract new contributors, etc. Cheers, PS: In case you did not pay attention, there's also a security bug to fix in this source package (see #663217). -- Raphaël Hertzog ◈ Debian Developer Pre-order a copy of the Debian Administrator's Handbook and help liberate it: http://debian-handbook.info/liberation/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
